Another shot at getting into heaven

With the Annual Soccer Sexploitation expose recently posted, we here at the BR are looking for ways to wash the filth and shame off of our bodies. We look to you all who follow this site to help a fellow Flyer out. You might remember us posting this last year. If not, have no fear, it is back for year 2.

Flying Towards a Cure is to help benefit a good friend of mine that is a UD alum. His son has been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and since 2009, the good people of the Dayton area have helped raise over $38,000 towards research to find a cure. As you can see in the link, there are some awesome things that will be auctioned at the dinner, which is on September 15 at UD Arena. You can go sky diving, you can go rock(y) climbing, you can swim 2.7 seconds at Great Wolf Lodge. Actually, you can probably swim for more than that. There are trips to play golf, plane tickets from Southwest, and if food tickles your fancy, you can bid on some delicious eats. I for one would love to gobble up a steak at Carvers. I know $50 sounds like a lot to donate. So if you want to donate just a few dollars, click on that fancy “contact us” link on the website and help a little guy out. So yeah, thanks for listening everyone.

How nice of you guys (i mean that) but for the life of me I can’t get past the Avatar. How any educated (or otherwise) adult could find humor in such a shamfull example of blasphemy is beyond me. (IM NOT KIDDING!) Its not funny, smart, witty or cutting edge. And its even perhaps unforgivable. Yet you have the nerve to solicit funds for charity bearing a pic of a bleeding Christ wearing a UD jersey….??? I’m guessing said charity themselves would prefere to distant themselves from such crap.

You know what I find shameful…. Someone who is educated and still believes that a human was born from a virgin, died, rose three days later and then ascended into heaven. The bible is full of really good stories, not as good as LOTR, but it is a very entertaining read.

We don’t have space here to list all of the horrible acts that the Catholic Church has sponsored, but Galileo, 8 year olds, and raping South America comes to mind.

So someone taking a shot at the Catholic church or Jesus is long over due. I find it refreshing when people take the blinders off and see things for what they really are.

I agree with tman. We should treat any picture of Christ just as the muslims do Mohammed. Why can’t we be more like the A-rabs? Maybe you should change it to a picture of Alfred E. Newman on the cross at Calvary saying “What, me worry?” Problem solved.

  4. Adam says:

Legitimate rape. You legitimately raped this post. Not Dez Wells rape, real rape.

  5. Tariq Aziz says:

I did not understand that picture in avatar to be man you refer to as Jesus. My understanding is this was Wes Coffey, a one time U of D player after Xavier coach hit him with ball as a younger boy. It could not be man you refer as Jesus, for your Jesus could have saved himself from attending mid-major.

    Jesus was black

  7. This might be the best thread of comments this site has ever seen.

  8. Charles Hustle says:

Tman, thank you for being such a fucking douche.

  9. Gus says:

“The Flyers are more popular than Jesus.”

  10. Garrett Hickey says:

Jalen Reynolds and Myles Davis are not eligible for this season. Apparently they didn’t get the necessary score on their SATs

  11. Timmy Wabs says:

The funniest part of Myles Davis not being eligible is that the school has been marked as a diploma mill by the NCAA. Also happens to be the same high school that issued a diploma to one Swampy Meadows.

  12. Angry John says:

Hmmm, we have been recruiting a lot of small forwards lately. On paper we have an abundence of them. Hmmm ?

  13. the kid from Lowes says:

Welcome back Tariq, I have missed you so very much

  14. Soylent Green says:

Its not even a good read, not even as good as “The Great and Secret Show” by Clive Barker. Soylent Green is People!
