Dyshawn Pierre, a 6’6″ forward from the basketball crazed nation of Canadia, has pledged his allegiance to the Red and Columbia Blue.
Pierre was invited to play for Team Canada’s U17 team at the FIBA World Championship where he was one of the squad’s standout players, averaging 10.6 points per game and 8.2 rebounds.
His stellar play led to his inclusion on Canada’s U19 roster last summer, where he posted a hearty 16.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
He decided on the University of Dayton University after receiving some consideration, in various forms, from Duquesne, Missouri, New Mexico, Portland and New Mexico State.
Pierre will join an evolving roster, likely offering some breathers and depth to what is becoming a strong wing contingent (Oliver & Derenbecker) .
His level of competition speaks for itself:

And yet still nothing on Jordan Sibert.
Haha, you sonofa….
On Dave Telep’s comment from the BR Twitter feed, Telep says: “Thought coming out of Peach Jam with CIA Bounce last summer Pierre would have been a fringe HM guy.” I need a translation, what is a fringe HM guy?
Actually just realized that HM probably stands for high major?
Yup–High Major.
This rivals big frogs hype video for the title of Least Exciting Highlight Reel Ever.
The Bobby Knight How Not to Play Defense for White Boys video?
The reaction from the white kid(#23) spotting up for a 3 at the :18 mark is priceless…safe to say that Mr. Pierre doesn’t pass much to whitey.
Kid Yuma’s first real recruiting class is made up of Devon, Dyshawn, Jalen and Khari. Things are really looking up for the Flyers!
The hardest group that has been on campus was solidified when Tony “Fucking” Stanley was written up for assaulting a Public Safety officer after getting into a fist-fight with Nate Green for stealing one of Nate’s Arby’s 5-for-5′s. Based on that, I expect really big things from these kids.
I coulda scored 42 against that defense…..
@ Ralph Hill…..HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Not sure how many of you have ever been to an AAU game, but they are horrible. It seems as though Canadian AAU is even worse. If I had any children and they wanted to travel half way across Canada to play in tournaments like this, I would kill myself.
Who the hell makes these “mixtapes?” Kids in a high school intro computer class? Christ.
